Is Your deodorant Safe?
Did you know that Deodorant kills off natural bacteria under our arms, you may think this sounds good but I'm afraid it's not because these little microbes play a vital role in maintaining good health.
Unlike classic antiperspirants, natural deodorants don’t block sweat glands so our body can carry on doing what it's always intended to. Instead, natural deodorants slightly alter the skin’s natural pH level, usually using sodium bicarbonate. This stops the bacteria that causes smell from thriving and so actually prevents odour rather than just masking it. Even though it doesn’t block sweat glands, natural deodorants has great absorbency powers, so you won’t need to worry about sweat patches forming.
Some people ask if Natural Deodorants really work?
Well it can take a bit of time sometimes for our bodies to adjust and re balance itself when you've always used the usual deodorants one finds in the shops, the ones we always used before we found out what was actually in them.
They work differently mainstream deodorants will stop you sweating and have very powerful fragrances to reduce and mask odours, Natural deodorants will have ingredients to neutralise any unpleasant smells and anti-bacterial and soothing ingredients to care for your skin too.
If you can just give your body a bit of adjustment time you will find they will work, just give your body a little time to get used to it.
Plus, giving your skin a break from the sweat-blocking ingredients in mainstream antiperspirants may come with other benefits (like improved skin condition).
A great reason to switch to natural is the benefits that the ingredients can have to your skin.
Go on .. Make the switch ..
